Commission 19 by catandcrown Commission 19 by catandcrown
Commission in progress for Erick Ramirez.
pokemon team and trainer :)

we have

Reina - Charizard *Fire/Flying* (Female). located here ---> ([link])

Shade - Umbreon *Dark* (Male).

- Umbreon are the largest forms of Eevee’s mutations, and by far the most aggressive. Their size is evidence of their power, which has baffled scientists for some time. The dominant theory is that, whilst Eevee is a single Pokémon with a highly erratic gene make up, its mutations can come out almost any shape and size, to the extent of Umbreon, a tall, muscular, almost wolf-like Pokémon being related to Glaceon, a much smaller, thinner almost fox-like Pokémon. Whilst all of these Pokémon have attributes in common and are capable of interbreeding, the wonder of Eevee is how it mutates and evolves during maturity to suit its surroundings.
In the case of Umbreon, it becomes a predator. Eevee that have a lot of battle experience during the night or in darkness often become Umbreon early in life, maturing and growing rapidly when the evolution is clearly underway. The snout is filled with sharp teeth, the body becomes thicker and more sinewy, tight muscles cord into its body and its fur becomes denser, thicker and shaggier.
Umbreon can secrete poisonous sweat, hence the matted fur, which can be shook violently to warn of larger predators and release a cloud of this poison. Umbreon are also unique in that they have semi bio-luminescent fur that appears in almost ring-like shapes on various parts of their body. During mating season, Umbreon use things rings to attract partners. However they are also used for territorial displays, especially against larger Pokémon. At night, Umbreon turn their bodies sideways to present two rings that appear as eyes in the shadows, in an attempt to ward of the threat.

Umbreon are sensitive to the light In the same manner that Espeon are weaker at night, but they are fierce Pokémon in any environment. Umbreon in particular are aggressive, but brutally loyal. Their aggression however is what separates them from dog-like Pokémon such as growlithe and arcanine in being used for military and police use at night on a wide scale.
They are prized amongst trainers, but are treated with caution. It says a lot about a trainer if they own one. After all, it means they stay out in the dark more than one should.

Li - Lucario *Fight/Steel* (Male).

-When riolu, a small dog like Pokémon, begin to train, their muscles and bones being to develop. Lucario are adult riolu and are incredibly powerful. The Pokémon’s family are unique in the skeletal design in that their bones become compressed, denser and shiney over time, more so as they age. They become so strong in fact, that it is widely considered to be a form of metal, not unlike steelix in its natural and organic design. The creature becomes taller, stronger, and its special abilities also grow rapidly.
Lucario are darkly intelligent creatures, often being classed as near human intelligence in some rare cases. They are able to sense negative and positive emotions, along with changes in the air current, almost giving the illusion that they can predict the future or read minds. This is mainly due to their special appendages that hang down behind the head. These are sensitive organs that pick up on tiny little changes around the Pokémon. Whether it be noticing heart rate elevation, sweat increase, higher breathing, shifting in muscles, Lucario can detect it.

This is referred too in some cultures as being able to read someone’s ‘ Aura’.
As lucario grow, they become more battle hungry, along with more athletic. Their body becomes more human like in bipedal terms, but retains claws, and crudely evolved thumbs on the paws. They are skilled combatants, often using martial art based techniques that is common in fighting types, but their main offensive weapon relates to their skeletal structure. With age, the skeleton protrudes from various parts of the body, the chest and wrists being the most prominent. These spikes are offensive weapons and also a sign of maturity when it comes to mating. Males with larger chest spikes are often the elders and usually the more powerful, showing that, if unbroken, it is a worthy leader. Lucario live, in the wild, in packs of small communities, usually dominated by an alpha male and its companion.

There are a set number of females in any group, with the alpha female controlling them. When breeding season occurs, the females mate with their choice of males and stay with them until the pup riolu are born. It is then that the males take command and watch over the pups, leaving the pack with them after a few weeks to teach them combat and hunting techniques, and then join another pack in another territory. Because of this pack structure, each year, members from other packs join new ones, whilst originals leave to find others, continually swapping techniques and battle forms, enhancing their own unique brand of warrior culture.

Athena - Gardevoir *Psychic* (Female).

- Gardevoir are adult Ralts that have chosen to enhance their psychic abilities. After a kirlia makes a conscious choice whether to become a gardevoir or a gallade, it rapidly begins to mutate in accordance to its choice. The choice itself is a rite of passage for the young Pokémon. Males often choose to become gallade, relinquishing a vast amount of their psychic abilities and mental prowess for a tougher, almost metallic hide and sharp, melee combat limbs. It is also often the case that the females choose to become Gardevoir ( this notion gave rise to believe that because of their elegant ‘gown ‘ like lower body, that they are exclusively female)

Gardevoir have thin, almost useless legs beneath their billowing ‘skirt’ and stay aloof usually using psychokinetic powers alone. The skirt itself is something almost akin to the wings of a jellyfish, thin and delicate looking to the point that they appear to be ghostly dresses that float gently as the Pokémon hovers past. The bony skull of ralts has now blossomed into a thick, almost hair shaped crest that acts as a powerful shield for the Gardevoirs incredibly powerful brain. It also serves as a shock absorber should the Pokémon take a strike to the skull. The bony protrusion that Ralts starts off with upon its head has also moved. Ralts have such large heads that the majority of their vital organs are kept closely together. Its powerful brain needs a vast amount of blood to pump through it and the same can be said for its adult form. The thick red bone serves as a sternum guard and reinforces the ribcage to protect the Pokémons heart, which is large and quite delicate. Gardevoir are serene and peaceful, highly intelligent and powerful, but when roused to anger, formidable and vicious creatures. Due to their almost human-like appearance, Gardevoir are classified as ‘near human’ in intellect, and prized worldwide for their abilities and appearance, to which some would call ‘beautiful’.

Hazel - Leafeon *Grass* (Female).

Leafeon are mutations of Eevee, a more recent discovery. After eevee becomes exposed to various natural materials, it can become a leafeon. Unlike some of its cousins, Leafeon are quiet and timid creatures, preferring to forage in the forest and scavenge food than openly attack other prey. They live in small dens where the parents mate for life. When the Eevee kits are born, the male and female haul in whatever nuts, berries, carrion and prey that have accumulated through the month and nurse the young. Leafeon try to give birth to their young during winter, when they partially hibernate with their young, the male and female taking turns in feeding and teaching in their dens. Experts often wondered why the young were born in such hostile conditions, but the recent discovery was that Leafeon often make their homes in the forests where they grow/mutate, which usually happens at spring time.

The natural energies of the forest blooming in spring allow the Eevee to become a Leafeon, meaning that once they are a few months old, well fed and looked after by the parents, they begin to mutate at a young age, during spring, when growth in the forest is at its highest.
Leafeon are timid as mentioned, but powerful creatures when provoked. They have large, powerfully sensitive ears that are also partially flora in make up, allowing them to naturally take in sunlight and oxygen from their environments, much like plants. This is also the case with their coats, which have traces of grass-like hair that also pick up on changes in their environment. Leafeon will often run from a fight if they feel it unnecessary, but are dangerous creatures when forced. The wuld populace of Leafeon are a protected species. Being a recent discovery, experts prefer to observe them in natural habitation, and attempts so far to evolve Eevee outside of such an environment have been less successful.

Jukes - Weavile *Dark/Ice* (Male) ([link])

- Once sneasel evolves after long periods spent in darkness, it becomes a Weavile, a truly vicious creature. The evolution has caused it to sprout another sickle like claw on each hand and foot. Along with these changes, it develops thick plumage of fur like feathers that are used for territorial displays. The fur on the top of the head can flatten like the ears of a cat, or become erect when the Pokémon feels threatened. These displays make the Weavile seem bigger, puffing themselves out against their dark colouring with vibrant reds and purples. the ears have become a flushed red also, and tip downwards, allowing them to track tiny vibrations in the floor with far greater ease than their pre-evolution.

Weavile have an odd social structure. They mate for life, but leave one another after each mating season is complete for months at a time. Females enter the breeding season once a year in winter, usually towards the end of September. They are naturally adapted to the cold, with their thick, sheen coat trapping whatever heat their body puts out. Because of this, they seek out fights in order to build up heat that can be trapped, and thus, keep themselves warm.

It is no surprise, therefore, that in warmer climates, Weavile often shed a large amount of unnecessary fur as to not overheat.

Male weavile are stronger than females, but are slightly slower due to increased muscle mass, making the females the faster of the two. They are known for their incredible speed and their vicious, cunning and dark intelligence. Weavile are shown to leave marking in trees, earth and even stone to ward off other Weavile from their territory. In fact, male weavile create a perimeter of these marks whilst in breeding season, the bigger and deeper the claw marks, the more powerful the Weavile. This perimeter of sometimes up to a mile in diameter allows the male and female to copulate in peace, but any challenge must be met from outsiders. Outsiders who either wish to take the males mate, or to steal the females territory (females keep the territory range after mating, the male is the one that leaves to find food)

Weavile are fast, deadly and cunning and are used by criminals often because of this. Excellent thieves, the police often have trouble dealing with the weavile problem; lack of training can lead to serious trouble in built up areas.

Aeron Clemente – Trainer (Male).

- Aeron started off on his training days focused solely on beating the Elite Four and being a Pokemon Champion. However, quickly he realized how hard the work would be, but never let it get him down. Upon arriving at Goldenrod City for the first time, he won second place in a small tournament and was awarded a camera. A bit frustrated by the lose Aeron left the city quickly but found himself snapping pictures of all types of Pokemon. A professional photographer soon saw his photos one day in Ecruteak as Aeron was snapping pictures and the man told him that he showed promise. Now Aeron’s main job is a freelance Pokemon photographer, he travels everywhere and anywhere looking for new shots and Pokemon interactions he can sell. His main six pokemon are the ones he feels he can trust most but he has many others that are close to him as well. Aeron usually wears cardigans with white v-neck shirts, jeans, and sneakers as he feels they are appropriately comfortable for his job. His hair is kept up in a fauxhawk and he wears a pair of glasses to help his vision. His camera is always around his neck, at the ready for a good picture.

all finished. well, if the commissioner is happy with it. i also added my own little pokdex entries to the mix, hence why im fully updating it, id like you all to see the,! thanks so much for the positive feedback so far, im really really grateful to all of your support! :)

Absolutely amazing. I love the realistic and detailed adaptation you have created. The darker lighting certainly adds to the realism (as bright lighting would reveal/spotlight imperfections while also detracting much from the sense of realism) and beautifully brings out the glow effect on Umbreon's markings. Personally I enjoy this piece quite a bit. Your added style and 'flair' is also quite clear through how you have brought these Pokemon to life and realism. My only negative would be the human. The chest area and shoulders are well detailed. The rest of the body, below shoulders and head etc feels very strange. Like the hair is great but there's something going on with the face that feels strange. Some blurring or lighting. Perhaps the issue with the pants is the shiny vibe I am getting from them. But that's just super minor issues, if issues at all. All in all this is a very very good piece that you should be proud of. Well done!

what stands out to me most in this whole piece is lucarios chest spike. his original design with the chest spike just looks painful to look at on Anubis, but this chest spike looks like it might be crucial to his integrity and maybe even a source of his powers

This drawing convinced me to use a Lucario.

I thought it was too 'human-like' before, but your description about why they are bipedal made me see Lucario in a totally different way.

The Gardevoir seriously creeps me out though (that's a good thing!)

Btw, are you planning on writing/drawing more End Run stuff? It's so awesome!

Keep up the great work!

How the hell is Gardevoir ever manly? I would assume you'd got it mixed up with Gallade but as your name is Gallad and you have a picture of one as your dp this can't be true... I understand that nowadays gender is less binary than it used to be.. but long floaty dresses and a pixie haircut are still decidedly feminine..

That's not really the point.. Gardevoir is very, very feminine.. Arguing otherwise is kind of delusional. As for your comment about it's name sounding like God of War.. It's name is made up of two different combinations of french words.. "Garde" meaning guard, and "Devoir" meaning duty OR "Garder" being the verb To keep and "Voir" being the verb To see. All of these reference ether loyalty or it being psychic. It's pokedex references frequently say how loyal it is to it's trainer.. one of them have ever said anything about it being anything like a bad ass ninja or a knight.. if anything, Gallade is the knight.. hence the fighting type.
